Terms and Conditions

LICENCE REQUIREMENT

This is a HGV-specific course but it is also applicable to PCV/PSV drivers who hold both D and C categories. You will need to hold at least a C1(7.5 tonnes) Licence issued before September 2009 or have previously held a Lorry CPC/DQC card.

 

CERTIFICATES

Upon completion of a seven-hour course, you will be issued with a pdf. certificate bearing the name of the module.

 

LATE ARRIVALS

Please log in to the Zoom meeting at least 15 minutes before the start time of your course for ID checks and registration. Kindly note that we will not admit into the meeting any candidate who is more than 10 minutes late. If you have been admitted late, we will ask you to make up the time after the course has ended. We will try our best, without inconveniencing the other delegates, to accommodate anyone with a genuine reason for lateness or missing part of the course, we understand that a day of CPC training is usually a day of lost earnings.

 

SPECIFIC LEARNING NEEDS

BE POLITE, RESPECTFUL AND NON-DISRUPTIVE AT ALL TIMES 

A warning will be given for disruptive or abusive behaviour. If it continues you may be removed from the session and no upload will be made.

 

PAYMENTS

Payments can be made by debit/credit card, over the phone, via invoice, on our website, or by bank transfer. Other options may be available if you need them, please ask us. Full payment in advance is always required to book your place on the course. Refunds will be processed in the same way as the payment was made.

 

THE DRIVER IS ALWAYS RESPONSIBLE FOR BEING SAFE AND LEGAL AT ALL TIMES 

Our courses and content have all been checked and approved but we can’t accept liability for anything that happens as a result of following the advice given.

 

CANCELLATIONS,  DATE CHANGES AND REFUNDS

A full refund will be issued for all payments made via bank transfer. Customers who pay via card will be entitled to a full refund less a 3% administration charge (this covers the cost of the transaction fees which the payment providers do not refund). A refund will be issued for cancellations with at least 48 hours' notice before the course start time, after that no refund will be possible. Date changes will be accepted wherever possible, less than 24 hours' notice may not be possible but we will do our best. We will do our utmost never to change or cancel courses and have contingencies to avoid it happening but where this is unavoidable, a full refund will be issued. No refund will be issued upon completion of a course/module and once the accumulated hours have been uploaded onto the DVSA portal. 

 

INTERNET LOSS

If you lose connection try to re-join the meeting as soon as you can without a lengthy delay. If you miss less than 15 minutes you can make up the time at the end, if more than 15 minutes, you may not get your upload. If you can’t reconnect, phone or email us and we will try to make a contingency work. 

 

DVSA UPLOADS

We will upload the accumulated hours onto the DVSA portal, and usually on the same day after the course finishes. It may take up to 5 working days for your hours to show on the online system. You are responsible for making sure that your upload will be valid by ensuring that your driving license details are correct and you are within the 5-year renewal period for your periodic training to be valid. You are welcome to join the course without an upload, please make it clear that you do not require an upload before the course starts.

By attending this training, you are agreeing to be bound by this policy. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please speak to your trainer who will provide you with the relevant contact details.

We collect a range of information about you. Your personal data includes:

• your contact details

• your photographic image

• driver licence details

• payment details

 

This is in addition to any other information we obtain directly from you or from third parties, or as a result of our relationship with you in our capacity as a Driver CPC (DCPC) Approved Training Centre and in providing goods and services to you.

 

How do we collect information from you?

We may collect this information in a variety of ways. For example, data might be contained in booking forms, when you contact us either on the telephone or via email, obtained from your passport or other identity documents.

 

How is your information used?

We will use your personal data for the purposes of uploading completed DCPC Periodic Training hours on to the Government’s Recording and Evidencing (R&E) database; you can find out more about how your data is used on that database at

The provision of an attendance certificate and for all other purposes connected with our role as an Approved Training Centre in providing goods and services to you. We may seek your views or comments on the services we provide, notify you of changes to our services; send you communications, which you have requested and that may be of interest to you.

 

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information, for example, data about your periodic training, to fulfil our statutory obligations for up to six years.

 

How do we store your information?

We are committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
